Hispanic
Link News Service
Hispanic Link News Service is a national news agency founded
in February 1980 by Charles A. Ericksen, Sebastiana Mendoza
Ericksen, and Hector Ericksen-Mendoza. The service syndicates
opinion, analysis and feature columns to newspapers and
magazines throughout the Americas via the Los Angeles
Times Syndicate. It also publishes Hispanic Link Weekly
Report, a national newsweekly that covers Hispanic issues
and trends.
Since 1981, Hispanic Link has trained aspiring Hispanic
journalists for professional careers through reporting
internships working as correspondants. Link-trained journalists
have moved on to become reporters and editors in influential
media markets in such cities as New York, Chicago, Los
Angeles, San Antonio, Boston, Miami, and Washington, D.C.
